What are the shower cubicles made of?
The cubicles are primarily made from a composite
material know as Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), also know
as marine grade fibreglass. This material can withstand salt
water over for 30 years. The GRP is reinforced with a timber
and steel support system.
We guarantee the structure of the cubicles for 10 years (knowing they will last
much much longer).
How much weight will the chair system hold?
The chair system has been tested to withstand
constant use at 160 kilograms and we guarantee that the chair
system will withstand constant use for 10 years.
How do the locking systems work on the chair?
The main locking system that controls the
arm that takes the user from outside the cubicle to inside
the cubicle is a spring loaded locking system, so the chair
arm will always lock into a safe position. The chair can rotate
360 degrees and has 8 different locking points, this locking
mechanism is simply a 'push down' lever that can be operated
without the use of fingers while requiring very little effort.
Can regular waste traps and pipes fit inside
the cubicle base?
Yes, this has been incorporated into the design
for easy installation, we provide a waste trap.
Can electric and power showers be used in the
cubicles?
Yes, any type of shower unit can be installed
in the cubicles, in addition, shower heaters and waste pumps
can also be installed in the cubicles.
How long does it take to install?
Installation time on average is one working
day. Unlike level entry trays and wet rooms, no floor removal
or tiling is required, which greatly reduces installation time
and costs.
Why is the seating system so innovative?
Firstly, this is the only shower chair system
of it's kind in the world, no other system can safely move
someone in and out of a shower cubicle in the same way. Secondly,
the chair system can be removed in an instant to reveal a stylish
cubicle for more general use.
How are the cubicles removable?
Because there is no tiling and no waterproofing
required, the cubicle can be uninstalled by simply disconnecting
plumbing connections and removing the installation screws.
Then the cubicle can be reinstalled in another room or another
location.
