Customer Testimonials
"We have been installing the
Independence Shower cubicles for almost a year now and
will certainly continue to specify them as they are quick
and easy to install, are very cost effective and our clients
love them!"
Mr. J. Smith - Technical Officer
"We were going to have a level
entry shower tray or wetroom installed, but we decided
to have one of the Independence Showers installed instead.....and
we are glad we did as it cost us much less and it only
took a day to install the new shower. It's been 2 months
with the new shower and we don't know what we would do
without it, thank you so much!"
Mr and Mrs B. Davis (Bristol)
"We had installed two of the
shower cubicles in two of our retirement homes a year
ago and after assessing the units for 12 months we have
decided now to install the cubicles in all of the retirement
homes in the district and as many private homes in the
city as possible. The technical team, occupational therapists
and residents are all more than happy with them..."
Mr. D. Barwell - Technical Officer
"We have started to install the
Independence shower cubicles in some of our homes as they
are accessible, adaptable and cost effective. In addition
our clients much prefer them to a wet room style or floor
level entry type bathroom adaptation. Going forward we
are now specifying them for use in as many of our disabled
bathroom adaptations as possible."
Ms. N. Wood - Project Manager
"Prior to surgery for a Hip replacement I decided that due to my handicap during my convalesence there would be certain difficulties that I would face at home, particularly with bathing.
My wife and I therefore searched for a shower with a swing in seat and came across the Independence Shower which we purchased. The installation was done by our local plumber and took a day.
What a Godsend it proved to be, on returning from hospital all fixed up and raring to go my major concern had been removed - that being hygeine which we all consider very important. The swivel chair propelled me into the shower and allowed me to turn though 360 degrees - how great it felt to be able to shower myself without the assistance of a nurse (as in the hospital) or my wife now I am at home.
The great thing now after 6 months is I'm well on the road to recovery with no pain, infact I'm even using the Gym again. As for the Independence Shower the Swivel Seat has been removed and is neatly stored in the garage leaving a beautiful en-suite shower for us to use.
As for the future, as we grow older and possibly experience problems bathing, out will come the swivel seat and off we go. We would not hesitate in recommending this shower and please concider it's build for life qualities and the advantages for old people or as I would prefer to be called Senior Citizen"

"There is a pressing need for
a good value for money and safe solution for the showering/bathing
needs of older people with mobility problems. For many,
a walk in shower is just too costly and the Independence
Showers cubicle represents a modern, well designed and
lower cost alternative"
Mr. M. Melaugh - Chief Executive ('Age Concern', Leicester)
"We have had our Independence
Shower installed for a few weeks now and we think it
will be of great benefit to the patients, especially
those that are less mobile and need to be seated whilst
showering. The shower cubicle is so much better than
what we had before, not only does it look great, but
it is much more hygienic and easy to clean."
Ms. J. Whittaker - Ward Manager (George Elliot Hospital-NHS)
"We have installed quite a
few of these (Independence) shower cubicles in the region
now and have found them quite easy and straight forward
to install. Most installations take us about a standard
working day on average. The company has been great in
delivering direct to site and on time."
Mr. T. Hutchings - Project Manager (SPI - Superior Plumbing
Installations)
Some time ago my wife left hospital having undergone
serious surgery. On returning home she was unable
to use our bathing facilities at our house. After
an exhausting search of assisted bathing units in the
market place we chose the Independence Shower.
That decision was probably the best one of our married
life. Not only is it totally accessible for my wife’s
needs, but it has restored her confidence and more importantly
her dignity. As for myself, within seconds the chair
can be removed and it takes care of my showering requirements
perfectly.
The unit is undoubtedly the most attractive piece
of bathroom furniture on the market. It is our
belief that the Independence Shower is one of the best
inventions to come out of Britain in a long time.
Well done and thank you to all the people at Independence
Showers.
